T1 – Specific Communication skills

About what we generally refer to in this course and what the European Commission concludes under communication.

Certainly, communication skills belong to key competences important for social and work life.

It refers to “(…) the ability to express and interpret concepts, thoughts, feelings, facts and opinions in both oral and written form  (listening, speaking, reading and writing) and to interact linguistically in an appropriate and creative way in a full range of societal and cultural contexts.”

Communication is a complex process. In simple words, people communicate using words, but also their voice and body. In this sense, there are important aspects that refer to verbal, non-verbal and para-verbal communication.

From this complex process, this course will focus on talking and giving a speech to your target audience, your clients and art lovers or buyers, reflect upon communication style and behaviour in sales and pre-/post sales activities of your artwork.

This module focuses on helping CCS representatives develop communicative competences to express themselves in typical oral communication situations towards (potential) art audience, be able to adapt a speech to the target audience, reflect upon communication style and behaviour in sales and pre-/post sales activities of art.
