T10 – Self-Empowerment skills

WHY IS SELF-EMPOWERMENT AN IMPORTANT SKILL?

Self-empowerment is the process of taking responsibility for your own actions and decisions. It encompasses developing a strong sense of self-awareness, self-confidence, and self-esteem, which ultimately enables you to pursue your goals and aspirations with determination.

It involves recognising your own strengths and weaknesses, identifying personal values and beliefs, and setting achievable goals that align with your vision of success.

Through self-empowerment, you can overcome limiting beliefs and self-doubt, and cultivate a positive mindset that supports your personal and professional growth. It can lead to fulfillment and a sense of purpose, as you make informed decisions, gain control of situations and pursue your passions and aspirations with confidence and eagerness.

Self-empowerment competence requires developing skills such as problem-solving, decision-making, and communication, which can help you navigate challenges and overcome obstacles.

This module focuses on emphasising the importance of developing self-empowering skills as a professional in the Creative and Cultural Sector (CCS). By being involved in the process of developing the mindset and habits that allow you to take control of your artistic pursuits and achieve your goals, you are simultaneously cultivating a sense of confidence, motivation, and resilience that allows you to overcome challenges, stay focused, and create meaningful work.

As a result, you are having greater control of your professional life.

More specifically, you will learn:

  • What are self-empowerment skills?
  • How can you set reasonable goals and live a self-empowered artist life?
